v1.0.0-beta — What's new ▾
  • One knob from mono to wide — mid/side, with the low end kept solid
  • WIDTH: 0 = mono · 0.5 = normal (unity) · 1 = wide — scales the side signal against the mid
  • BASS: bass-mono crossover (40 Hz → 500 Hz). Below it the field collapses to mono — vinyl/club-safe low end. 0 = off
  • MIX: dry/wet blend
  • Bit-exact dry at the WIDTH-normal detent (and MIX 0) via a select2 passthrough guard — no phase or level creep when unused
  • Mono source has no side content, so WIDTH does nothing on it (expected); at extreme width mono-compatibility degrades, which BASS-mono mitigates

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Apple Silicon (arm64) — Intel / Windows coming later
  • ✅ Standalone app (WIDE.app) — stereo A minor chord test tone
  • ✅ AU (Audio Unit v3) — GarageBand, Logic Pro, REAPER, Ableton Live

  • AU → ~/Applications (open WIDE.app once to register)
