  • Shared Van Moose modulation core (vmmod) — vm_lfo shaped to a square gate
  • Smooth knob: hard trance-gate edges ↔ gentle sine pulse
  • Rate 0.5 → 16 Hz: slow pulse to full stutter
  • Depth = gate floor (0 = none → full chop)
  • Same gate on both channels — CHOP chops, it does not pan

Requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Apple Silicon (arm64) — Intel / Windows coming later
  • ✅ Standalone app (CHOP.app) — A minor chord test tone
  • ✅ AU (Audio Unit v3) — GarageBand, Logic Pro, REAPER, Ableton Live

Install

  • AU → ~/Applications (open CHOP.app once to register)
