  • Hands-free turntablism — pick a scratch pattern, lock it to the beat, it scratches the incoming audio
  • PATTERN: Baby (smooth forward/back) · Chirp (forward stab + quick pull) · Transform (steady motion gated by the fader) · Scribble (fast small back-and-forth)
  • RATE: tempo-synced — the scratch rate is a note division (vm_sync, host BPM); SYNC default ON so it sits in time, web TAP for standalone
  • DEPTH: pitch excursion — how far the platter is thrown (subtle wiggle → full rewind-stab)
  • Transform & Chirp add a CHOP-style squared-LFO fader gate — the on/off cut is half the scratch sound
  • Built on vmtape’s vm_scratchhead (the reverse-capable read head, sibling of vm_transport) driven by a vm_lfo-shaped bipolar motion + vm_sync; bit-exact dry at DEPTH 0 / MIX 0, bounded read (no latency creep)

  • ✅ AU (Audio Unit v3) — GarageBand, Logic Pro, REAPER, Ableton Live

  • AU → ~/Applications (open SCRATCH.app once to register)
