Shared Van Moose modulation core (vmmod) — vm_lfo shaped to a square gate
Smooth knob: hard trance-gate edges ↔ gentle sine pulse
Rate 0.5 → 16 Hz: slow pulse to full stutter
Depth = gate floor (0 = none → full chop)
Same gate on both channels — CHOP chops, it does not pan

Requirements

macOS 13 Ventura or later
Apple Silicon (arm64) — Intel / Windows coming later
✅ Standalone app (CHOP.app) — A minor chord test tone
✅ AU (Audio Unit v3) — GarageBand, Logic Pro, REAPER, Ableton Live

AU → ~/Applications (open CHOP.app once to register)
