v1.1.0-beta — What's new ▾
  • Standalone, AU and VST3 now all show the same interface you see on this page — COLOR fader, LEVEL knob, live panel tint
  • The AU's Color and Level controls now work correctly — in 1.0.0-beta they had no effect
  • The VST3 now has HUEY's proper interface and controls (the previous VST3 showed incorrect generic parameters)
  • PLAY is now a real, automatable parameter that saves with your session — a session saved while playing comes back playing; fresh inserts start silent until you press PLAY
  • Universal build — Apple Silicon and Intel
  • Note: sessions saved with 1.0.0-beta reopen with HUEY at default settings

Requirements

  • macOS 13 Ventura or later
  • Apple Silicon + Intel (universal) — Windows coming later
  • ✅ Standalone app (HUEY.app)
  • ✅ AU (Audio Unit v3, generator) — Logic Pro, REAPER, Ableton Live
  • ⚠️ GarageBand cannot host AUv3 generators (augn) — use the standalone or another DAW
  • ✅ VST3 — Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, REAPER

Install

  • AU → /Applications (open HUEY.app once to register)
  • VST3 → ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

Gatekeeper
